My second semester here at Letourneau has begun! I am enrolled in 16 credit hours (17 counting a baseball credit), and as mentioned i'll be student assistant coaching for baseball this season, 1st base coach! Here's a look at my classes i'll be taking this semester...
Monday/Wednesday/Friday
Biology II - I'm not taking bio I here because i took it at River Falls. I also have a lab late thursday evening. This class seems like it will get more interesting as the semester goes on and we get into things that interest me more, right now it's protista stuff, kinda boreing.
Planning & Assessment - this is my first education course i'll be taking and i'm pretty excited to finally dive into some educational stuff. This course basically covers how to plan for a class and how to assess what you've accomplished.
Intro to 8-12 Education (Wednesday only) - This class is my first practicum. For this class i'll get to do some observing in a P.E. class, which i am excited about. It will be nice to get into some more education focused classes.
Children's Health (Monday, Wednesday only) - this class is taught by Dr. J, my favorite prof! This class focuses on childrens health and wellness and how we can have a positive effect on their heath.
Tuesday/Thursday
Intro to Fine Arts - this class is a general ed course about art that i have to take...grrrr...this class will be hard to get through but i'll do what i can. We do get to take a trip to the art museum in Dallas, so that hopefully will be fun and not full of stupid busy work that we have to do.
Biblical Literature - Here is were ADHD and the Bible meet. Dr. Baker, bless his heart, probably couldn't stay on one topic for more than 2 minutes. It is hilarious to watch and listen to him as Josh Lawson and I sit in the back and watch. The course should be fun, espessially with him up there.
Baseball - This will keep me busy as i'll have practices and games to work with. I'll get to travel with the team, so that will mean missing some classes, hopefully it won't hurt me too bad, but if things start to get ugly i'll have to drop baseball. DUring the season i'll be at first base, and filling out scouting sheets while we're on the field. It's pretty exciting, i got my own locker and everything.
Other than those everything is going well. Heidi and I are still dating, she's supposed to come over here soon and cut my hair for me. We're doing well, we try to find time for each other but it's hard with our classes and other activitiesm but we're doing fine! I'm also having a blast on the floor as we attend some basketball games, play basketball, raquetball, and lift together. Well, that's all i have for now, hopefully i can take some more fun pictures to share with you guys (still not into this whole ya'll thing...)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
