Fun at Fazolli's
So the other day a bunch of us went out to dinner at Fazolli's. We had a fun time and i had my camera with because people wanted new facebook pictures, and i thought it'd be fun to show you some of my friends here.

Here's Alex, my roommate.

Jared, he's a cool kid.

Here's a group shot of us.

Brain, who lives across the hall and Jared again.

Matt Ramsey, we think he looks like the kid from the O.C. so we call him OC...he hates this picture.

Chuck, who lives across the hall and Cal, our favorite basketball player.

T3 IM Volleyball
Today our Thomas 3 IM Volleyball team squared off against Josh Lawson and his Dorm 4 Volleyball team, i beat him at paper, rock scissors to start the game. It was a pretty good game but we managed to pull out a win! I also had Philip the RA come and take some pictures for us. So enjoy the pictures below!

Nathan Pegors, a fellow Minnesotan serving the ball.

Team Prayer after the game

1, 2, 3, T3!! We do our victory cheer after our game.

Me serving the ball, underhand is the way to go, that, and my overhand is way to wild and inconsistent.

Dan Fisher serving the ball!

Daniel Andrews serving the ball.

me standing there...being productive...
Anyways, we're off to another solid start, we're currently 2-1 with another game next week. Hopefully we can make the playoffs, that'd be sweet!
Other than that, school is in that final sprint towards the end and papers, tests, and assignments are starting to pile up. I'll have a busy weekend this week, but i should be fine. I'm definitly excited to go home. I miss the cold and the SNOW and seeing my family and all my other friends. Have a wonderful rest of the school year.

The Happiest Christmas - Michael W. Smith
Oh the happiest Christmas
Is a homecoming Christmas
With the snow fluttering down 'til the world seems new
(chorus)
Bright candles burning
Old friends returning
The wishes of children coming true
And the happiest wishes are just old fashioned wishes
May your days be merry, your sorrows be small
May the ones you love be near you
That's the happiest Christmas of all
repeat chorus

Foggy Night
Thanksgiving Break
So far this has been a pretty good Thanksgiving break. I would have liked to go home and see my family, but unfortunatly i wasn't going home. But, thankfully i was able to spend Thanksgiving with the Zietlow family down here. I went over to their house Thursday morning around 10, and once i got there we played every game from soccer, to basketball, to kickball, to softball. After all those games were played we finally got to the food! We had a traditional thanksgiving with Turkey, stuffing, and the works. It was all very wonderful! ANd Heidi was there which made it even better! After eating we watched football and i slept the rest of the day! It was wonderful! The next morning Heidi and I went out to eat for brunch at Waffle house, which was excellent! After that we went back to our dorms. I ended up watching a movie and doing some busy work around the dorm. Now it's Saturday and the only thing i really have to do is some homework. Then in a little bit Heidi and i are gonna go to Wally World and go shopping then get dinner, then go to the basketball game tonight. Then tomorrow it'll be homework day as i try to get stuff done in time for the final stretch of the school year! I hope you all (like all 2 of you that read this) have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

T3 IM Soccer
So we finished the inagural season of T3 IM Soccer today by finishing off 41 with a 3-1 victory giving us a 3-1 record overall, good enough for second place in our division and good enough to get us into the playoffs! The downside to that is our first game is against the faculty/staff team, and they're good, but we'll put up a fight! Below are some wonderful pictures Philip the RA took.

New Floor T-Shirts
Below is a picture of me with my new floor T-Shirt. I choose the number 12 cause it's my favorite, and my floor name is "eh" because since i'm from the great state of Minnesota they thought i said that all the time, and maybe i said it a few times here and there just to teese them. You can't really see, but on the sleeve is the reference for our floor verse Mark 12:30-31. Enjoy the Pictures!

Pour My Love on You
I don't know how to say exactly how I feel
And I can't begin to tell you what your love has meant
I'm lost for words
Is there a way to show the passion in my heart
Can I express how truly great I think you are
My dearest friend
Lord, this is my desire
To pour my love on You
Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone
I'll pour my love on you
Is there a way to show the passion in my heart
Can I express how truly great I think you are
My dearest friend
Lord, this is my desire
To pour my love on you
Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone
I'll pour my love on you
Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone
Pour my love on you
Yeah
Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone
Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink

How Deep The Father's Love For Us
How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
And make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory
Behold the man upon the cross
My sin upon His shoulder
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
And make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss

T3 IM Soccer...1-0
So today we had our first intramural soccer match. we played the societies and palyed them well. We got out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to a hat trick (3 goals) by Johnny. It was amazing! we took advantage of our speed and our stingy defence to hold them to zero goals and pulled out a 4-0 victory, tagging on another goal at the end of the game off a corner kick! We played suprisingly well, many of the guys hadn't played too much soccer but they stepped up and delivered! I'm looking forward to playing some more soccer with these guys! it's been a blast so far and i'm looking forward to more! Now it's off to put the finishing touches on my 10 page paper...yuck! Have a good one!

Does Anybody Hear Her?
Casting Crowns
She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon’s ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She’s another two years older
And she’s three more steps behind
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even knows she’s going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that’s tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
She is yearning
For shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching
For a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away
If judgement looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can’t see past her scarlet letter
And we never even met her
She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon’s ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart

Nice Weather!
So a cold front came through and we finally got some nice weather. Today it was like in the low 80's and partly cloudy all day! It was perfect! It's supposed to be nice for the next few days, so that's exciting!

Rita Update (saturday night)
So Rita has come and gone, and she didn't do much. We had some strong winds which snapped a few trees, but other than that there's just a lot of leaves and twigs around campus. We got a lot of rain, so there's a few places with standing water, but nothing like what was predicted. We never lost power again after this morning, so the guys on our floor played Halo all day. It was an interesting expirience being through a tropical storm i guess it was. Thanks for all your prayers!
Rita Update (12pm)
So, on my way to Saga to get lunch i took some pictures of the damage Rita has done so far.

Here's a picture of all the little branches that have fallen off of trees so far.

And the first of probably many trees snaps! According to forcasts it's only going to get worse, more rain, more wind! Ok, time to dry out!

Rita Update (9/24 10am)
So here's the Rita update for this morning. It started to rain around 9am this morning, around that time there was also a few, many 3 power surges, i could hear the fan in our room die and then come back. Also, while i was out taking pictures i left our TV on and returned to find that there was no TV anymore! The rain is getting heavier by the minute! News people are saying that when it stalls it could dump over 20 inches of rain! I tried to capture it with some pictures...

we're screwed...
So, looking at this prediction it looks like the hurrican is going to stall out right over longview, that's where i am. I've heard that we could lose power for 3-5 days, fairly strong winds, get 10-15 inches of rain, so that's the exciting news we've been hearing up here. And the effects are being felt all the way up here. I wish i would have brought my camera with us to Wally World (wal-mart) this evening, it was crazy, they were running out of food, they didn't have any water, people were loading up! We got a few things, some canned foods, some beverages, we might try to get some water later. It's pretty exciting though, i've never been through a hurrican before, or even close to one, so we'll see how she goes! But please be in prayer that things would get too crazy around here, cause it's all ready getting bad, i mean, it's taking people 16 hours to get from Houston to Dallas (normally 4 hours). If i have power i'll try to keep you guys updated, but if we don't i'll be taking pictures which i'll post when we get power back. Anyways, i'll try to keep you guys (like all 2 of you) up to date on what's going on down here in Texas!
